Bear Burners: A Little Introduction for Our New Bears 🐻

If you’re new here... hello and welcome! We’ve had an incredible number of new subscribers and customers join us recently, and we thought this was the perfect moment to properly introduce ourselves.

Bear Burners began back in 2018, born from a small dream and a big love for scent, storytelling, and slow living. Our founder, Rach, started making candles at her kitchen bench. Just one woman, a few jars, and a whole lot of heart. What began as a creative spark quickly turned into something more: a way to bottle memories, emotions, and seasons in wax.

From a Kitchen Bench to The Candle Cave

Over the years, Bear Burners has grown alongside Rach. As her passion and her pours expanded, so did the business. From kitchen beginnings, we’ve now upscaled our premises three times, finding our current home in our workshop and shop in East Boldon. It’s where all our candles, wax melts, and home fragrance products are hand-poured in small batches by our lovely team.

And as our flame spread, so did our community. What started as a few followers on social media has grown into a warm and wonderful family, with over 36,000 followers on TikTok (and counting!) who join us for live events, behind the scenes peeks, scent stories, and lots of candle chat.

What Bear Burners Different

There are plenty of candle companies out there but we have always done things a little differently. For us, a scent is never just a scent. Every candle, melt, and collection begins with a story... a feeling, a memory, a moment in time that we want to capture in wax.

We think of our creations as little vessels of emotion. They’re made not just to make your home smell lovely (though they will), but to make you feel something: comfort, nostalgia, calm, curiosity. Each product is hand-poured with intention and is carefully designed to tell a story from start to finish.

We also love to keep things fresh and exciting, that’s why we do small weekly drops of exclusive scents like 'Just a Dozen' that often sell out fast. Our customers can collect Bear Paw Points with every order to earn rewards and treats along the way. We have core story-led collections, like Bandit and His Gang, which add depth and personality to our brand world. From our soy wax blends to the carefully designed toppers, labels, and names of each candle... every detail is well thought out and purposefully crafted. Nothing we do is random; every element plays its part in telling the Bear Burners story.

The Six Collection — Where Scent Meets Storytelling

One of the things that makes Bear Burners truly special is our Six Collection, a creative storytelling series that changes every month or so. Each Six release has its own voice, visual style, and mood, created by our small team with an incredible amount of thought.

From concept to scent, from label design to the words you read on each candle, we pour everything into building a world you can step into, one scent at a time.

Our current Six Collection is Autumn Journal – A Season Through a Bear’s Eyes, and it’s one of our most loved yet. It captures autumn in all its soft, nostalgic glory... a quiet, thoughtful series of scents inspired by the peaceful life of a bear preparing for the colder months. Each candle comes with a printed journal entry that matches the scent, turning every burn into a story.

Staff & Customer Favourite: Spiced Solitude

If you ask our team (or our customers) which candle they’d pick from this collection, almost everyone says Spiced Solitude.

14th October — “I didn’t speak to anyone today, and it was perfect.”I brewed something warm, tucked under the quilt with a book that smelled like autumn’s breath. The scent of citrus and spice swirled in the air, soft and slow. This is the kind of peace I wish I could bottle. Silence, like a second skin.
